Worldwide Holidays of December
|
When the holiday season approaches, people around the world get excited to celebrate a variety of December global holidays. While many people think of Christmas, Hanukkah and even New Year's Eve as the major December global holidays, there are many others that communities and religions around the world celebrate. All of the December global holidays show the interesting cultures and beauty of different celebrations around the world.

Her comments included linking her daughter’s sexual orientation to childhood trauma, calling separation of church and state a "myth," and repeating claims attributed to Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk about Martin Luther King Jr.
Local politicians are feeling increasingly emboldened to promote racist and anti-LGBTQ+ ideas, echoing rhetoric pushed by figures like Charlie Kirk and Republicans in DC.
"The Placer County Democratic Party stands against the statements made by Lincoln Mayor and county supervisorial candidate Holly Andreatta at Twelve Bridges High School," said Nick Bennett, Chair of the Placer County Democratic Central Committee. "Placer County Democrats strive for a Placer County that is welcoming of all people, without judgment of who they are. The diversity of our neighbors adds richness to our communities.”

High school students and community members are planning to speak and show support at the upcoming school board meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Students are petitioning the school to remove the club, saying that Andreatta’s statements embolden students to say racist or homophobic things.
