The Federal Government is likely shutting down tonight as Trump and Republicans try to blame Democrats despite Republicans controlling the House, Senate, and Presidency. The reality is that Republicans would not compromise about preserving healthcare for millions of Americans - they'd rather give tax breaks to billionaires. A MASSIVE protest is scheduled at Kiley's office tomorrow. We need you there. News media will likely be there and we need to show a big turnout. Can we count on you?

Sacramento's immigration court saw a round of politically-motivated firings this last week, with three judges being removed last week, causing confusion and further disruption in an already heavily backlogged system. This is part of a nationwide pattern of the federal administration removing immigration judges, particularly those appointed during the Biden administration.
Visit norcalresist.org to learn how you can fight back. You can volunteer to be a court watcher. Court Watching is daily, on the ground presence in the immigration court.

The cause of the expected federal Government shutdown falls on the laps of the Republican Congress for their deep cuts to Medicaid. The reduction in health care budget has led to reports of about 15 million people losing their health care.
These cost transfers can only be labeled as Republican price gouging, as they kill the Affordable Care Act. From its birth in March 2010, Obamacare has been successful and on the Republican hit list.

Fighting Nonviolently Includes Fighting With Words
|
Trump's memo and utterances on Radical Left and Antifa is his feeble try at getting resistance to cower from fighting his authoritarian actions since his term began in January 2025. Below are several articles that advise on taking the fight back with the words not as he defines them but as nonviolent resistance actions dictate democrats employ them without fear.
"Trump wants to label Antifa a 'Terrror Group'..." but maybe all democratic resistance is anti-fascists.
"What Liberals get Wrong About Trump's Executive Order on 'Antifa' " ... Read how to lean into nonviolent resistance and prepare for what's coming. For marginalized vulnerable people and and people of color it is already here.

Rule of Law is Above Politics, Not So
|
Robert Gonzalez PCDCC Communications Committee
If the consequences of their actions of violence were not so tragic for millions of victims, recent commentary calling the Trump administration both gangsters and Gong Show would apply to all three heads of state. A more serious commonality among these three is that they are criminals in power, not operating within the Rule of Law. In the "USSR/Russia" they never had democracy. In contrast, the United States tried a 250-year history of abiding by a Constitution and the rule of law, as imperfect as it was practiced. Israel is a country that has its own tradition of Church and State governance and has cobbled a rule of law labeled democracy.
The Axios article provided below for continued reading explains the details of their warmongering beyond the rule of law by all three state leaders.
Note: We previously speculated that Trump was placing military and mercenaries in democratic cities as exercises for a declaration of martial law. Common Ground newsletter just reported that Trump told generals to "use US Cities as 'Training Grounds.'" Sounds like martial will arrive in America in a short time.
